Futurama - The Beast with a Billion Backs is the second of the Futurama straight to DVD movies. It's to be followed by "Bender's Game", out soon, and "Into the Wild Green Yonder", due for release in 2009. The title refers to the phrase 'the beast with two backs', meaning sexual intercourse, from Shakespeare's "Othello". The story follows on from the first film, Bender's Big Score. A month has gone by since the universe was ripped open and people are going about their lives as normal. Amy and Kiff have got married and Fry starts going out with a new girl, Colleen, who he later finds out she has multiple boyfriends who all live with ... Read the complete review

It's business as usual at Planet Express, The Universe is coming to an end due to there being a tear in it, Fry has a new girlfriend and Kif & Amy are getting hitched which gives us an excuse to travel to Kif's home-world Amphibios 9 (Which is woefully underused). The differences between this & Benders Big Score come as soon as the opening credits are almost finished. In a good way. I love the Steamboat Willie parody & its very well done & extremely well observed too. It's a shame that's the only thing I DID enjoy about this movie. This movie is worse than Benders Big Score in a lot of ways. Actually its worse in most ways it can be ... Read the complete review

"Introduction" Futurama was taken off sky one and cancelled as Fox thought more time and focus should be spent on the Simpsons. Greoning and his produces however along with the fans have managed to entice Fox to allow Futurama to create another series on tv through 4 straight to DVD releases. After these, the program will apparently run again like normal. Futurama is back now with its second straight to DVD release: 'The beast with a billion backs.' The film was released in Canada and USA on June 24th 2008. The films running time is approx 89 minutes. For people who never gave this animated program a chance you should really ... This is the 2nd in a series of 4 films that will make up series 5 of Futurama. If you read my previous review on the 1st film (Bender's Big Score) then you can skip this next bit, otherwise read on... What is Futurama ~~~~~~~~~~~ The main character is Philip J Fry and the premise is that he was cryogenically frozen at the turn of the millenium Dec 31 1999, and unfrozen 1000 years later. In the past he was a Pizza delivery boy and in the future he delivers packages for his great great great (and lots more greats) nephew's intergalatic delivery business, called Planet Express. Main Characters ~~~~~~~~~~ Fry is clearly ... Read the complete review

Beast with a Billion Backs is the 2nd movie in the Futurma movie series. I was a little disappointed in this one. Basic Plot The Rip in universe has let loose a huge tentacled monster who takes control of Fry. Then it starts a religion and possesses all the other residents of earth. Eventually the tentacle alien monster controls everyone and they leave earth to live on him. Leela is the moan one that has been trying to resist the alien throughout the whole movie. The robots then inherit the earth because all the living beings are gone. My Opinion This movie seemed to be really lacking something. It just wasn't as ... Read the complete review
