Demi moore, plays the gi chosen to try to prove that women can succeed where men fail and pass the horrific tests required to become a qualified navy seal.
She shaves her head, has packed on muscle for and during the role and really shows her versatility. She pulls the role off brilliantly and really fits into character well. Afair bit of violence throughout as the instructor takes a definate dislike to her, and the more she stands up for herself and proves herself as "one of the boys" the more she is respected by her fellow recruits.
A particularly memorable part of the film is during a training excersise where demi is captured and her instructor sets about beating her while she has her hands tied behind her back, she half beats him and kicks him to the floor. Whilst the rest of the recruits look on, she is knocked unconscious the instructor then faces the wrath of the trainees and other instructors who all shun him.
Later on in the film after she qualifies and is called into service she rescues the instructor who hounded and abused her and earns his respect.
Areally tough film watchable, not suitable for youngsters due to the language and violence.
