I didnt want to go and see this film, but was dragged along any way.
I was however pleasantly surprised. It is a great mickey take of the original star trek series, and follows the lives of the cast members about 20 years after the show "Galaxy Quest " has past its prime. The cast members attend lots of fan conventions, and are all tired old has-beens until they are recruited by some real aliens who believe that they are real space heroes. In short they are whisked away into space and end up saving a planet from destruction.
It is a great film, with an original story line and lots of witty one liners, that are still funny the second time ( yes I have now seen it Twice ! )
Give the film a chance, you will probably love it.
