Considering Gandhi the man died 25 years before I was born it is interesting to consider how much of what I know of him is through this film. The fact is, everything. Ben Kingsley plays Gandhi with great skill, creating a character who we care deeply about by the end of this 3 hour movie. David Attenborough, the director, seems to have gone to great lengths to create a film in the old epic style and he made a remarkable achievement with this.
