Advantages: Some good and funny scenes

Disadvantages: Very cheesy at parts, predictable, acting & script werent great, Kirsten Dunst really annoyed me

I went to the cinema to see this with a friend when it came out. I wasnt that fussed about seeing it to be honest when i heard Kirsten Dunst was in it as she isnt one of my favourite actresses.

I decided to go and see it anyway as it looked good in the ads.

If you have never heard of Get Over It, it is a romantic comedy film mixing ideas from A Midsummer Nights Dream and some other teen dramas.

The total running time of the film is 87 minutes and it was directed by Tommy O'Haver.

It has a good cast apart from Kirsten including Ben Foster, Colin Hanks, Shane West and Sisqo so i was hoping that it was going to be good.

The story centres around character Berke being in love with his high school girlfriend Alison. He is mad about her but she dumps him. He is completely heartbroken as she was his childhood sweetheart so he comes up with a plan to win her back.

He gets a role in the schools musical to get closer to Alison as she is in it too. He becomes friendly with his friend Felix's sister Kelly and the two form a close friendship.

Will Berke win back his childhood sweetheart or will things go in a different direction? I wont give away too much of the plot incase i ruin it for you but i have to say that i think this is a great film for teens.

When i watched it, i found most of it enjoyable but some of the lines in the script were a bit too cheesy for my liking.

I didnt think that Kirsten Dunst and Ben Foster had a very good on screen chemistry. This was disappointing as i didnt find the characters very believeable.

I think that young teenage girls would enjoy this film but it was a little too dull and predictable for my liking. It was a typical rom com and i guessed almost everything that happened in the film until the end.

I prefer a bit of mystery in my films so unfortunately this one wasnt really for me. You can buy the dvd of Get Over It for £4.68 from Amazon at the moment. Hopefully you will like it more than i did!
