Get Rich or Die Tryin' is a fictional version of Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson's life. Curtis plays himself as an adult, i love 50 Cent but was a bit sceptical of what his acting would be like but i just had to watch it because he is gorgeous. I was pleasantly suprised at how well he can act though, at not one point in the whole film did i think he wasn't up to much.

The film is about Marcus, 50 cent, whoes mother gets murdered, he has to move him with his grandparents and all his cousins and Aunts and Uncles. He doesn't cope well with his mother's death and finds it hard to go from having everything to nothing and decides to start drug dealing. He ends up in prison and writes a few lyrics when he is in there.
When he is released he says he is not drug dealing again and wants to try and make it as a rapper. The people who he used to drug deal for don't want to let him go as he was one of their main earners, resulting in a near fatal shooting that may destroy his life forever!

This film was not as i expected, i thought it would be a bit like 8 Mile Eminem's film, but it was not at all. I love this film so much and watch it over and over again. I don't have anything bad to say about the film. Everything in this film is exceptional from the acting to the music and it give a real insight to just how hard people have had it. It is very inspirational, showing that no matter how low you are, if you really want to achieve your dream then you can do it. Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson shows that this is true and can be done.
