"He Sees dead people...and they annoy him" Bertam Pincus is a dentist. During an operation he "dies" for seven minutes but then comes back to life with the ability to see ghosts. You'd think that it would be pretty cool to see ghosts and be able to talk to them when no one else could see or talk to them. Although Pincus isn't too happy with his 'new-found-talent' ; watch Ghost Town to find out why! I'd read "quick" reviews about Ghost Town in various magazine and although I had a rough idea of what the movie was about , it wasn't a movie that I was planning on going to see at the cinema. Love him or hate him, Ricky Gervais has become incredibly popular in The States over the last few years, and his first feature-length Hollywood leading role came in the form of the David Koepp directed 'Ghost Town'. The story focusses on 'Bertram Pincus' (Gervais), an uncaring dentist who, let's just say, isn't a people person. During a routine colonoscopy (for which he has requested a general anaesthetic) Pincus 'dies' for a few minutes, and upon his subsequent revival, realises he has the un-nerving ability to see dead people.
