Gia is a drama film that was released in 1998 and was made for TV. The story is based on the life of Gia Carangi, a top fashion model in the 1970's. The film won two Golden Globe awards and also an Emmy amongst winning and being nominated for others. Gia is rated 18 due to strong language, hard drug usage and sex scenes and is 120 minutes long. Gia simply is Angelina Jolie at her best. Heart wrenching true story about a supermodel whose insecurities lead her to less than savory coping mechanisms one of which is IV drug abuse.
