This amazing film from ancient wars between gladitors who fought for their lives in the historic building off the collusem in Rome.

Russel Crowe who is the gladitor was the kings Knight he was a warrior his top man. The son of the king was a wimp and was not a warrior but he talked a good fight. The king was dying and explained to his son that the knight was to be the next king instead of his own son because he was the leader and was strong and could lead his army.


So before the king even got to tell anyone the son killed his father and then the son became king. Then the Gladitor becomes a warrior and has to fight many men as the new king tries to kill him.Although the gladitor just wont die even against tigers and brave strong men. So I can not tell you or the plot is ruined.

I enjoyed this film as events like this did happen and the gruesome gorry bloody events and dirty tricks that we see in this film is just class. It was a brillant film and everything from the acting to the customes were just out of this world.

I bought the dvd for five pounds in HMV and it does have special features.
