Advantages: Great Plot, Great Acting, Great Special Effects

Disadvantages: Sad ending!

I think Gladiator is an altogether amazing film.

The acting is superb, The special effects are amazing, and the plot is excellent.

Based on a true story, Gladiator takes you back to Roman times.
The main structure is that Maximus (Russell Crowe) is the best general in the whole of the Roman Empire. He is set to become Caesar but the real heir kills his father before it is announced. Maximus becomes a slave and sets his only goal in life to get revenge on the new Leader.

Overall the film is a superb, multi Oscar winning, way to spend a Saturday!
