... the time, but you will probably be disappointed afterwards. The story is weak, but the script is funny in places. In the film, Santiago is currently playing for Real Madrid, but then it switches to his England team-mates who want to lift the World Cup. This is very confusing and ruins doesn't feel like a full sequel, going on a tangent from the first 2 films. It answers no questions and just leaves you angry. The acting is also pretty bad, as they don't present the script very well and don't bond with you. ...more

Premium Review Goal 3 - Taking On The World (DVD): Goal 3 - Scored An Own Goal In My Opinion! (1223 words)
by - written on 14/08/09 (Very useful, 144 readings)
Rating:

***Goal 3 - Taking On The World*** My son has been looking forward to this film since last year. We discovered the first two films and watched them by renting them from Lovefilm. It is imortant to know that in the main the first two films charted the upward path of Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker). These films were no award winners, but they did successfully play out the dream of most little boys. Yes, they definitely appealed to wannabe footballers, but were just enough to keep parents interested too. I had read poor reviews of Goal 3, but I ignored them and thought it can't be that bad - I was wrong... ***Main Cast*** JJ Feild - ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review GOAL III TAKING OVER THE WORLD (256 words)
by - written on 01/09/09 (Very useful, 26 readings)
Rating:

GOAL 3 TAKING ON THE WORLD is a movie directed by Andrew Morahan. Following on from the previous two installments Kuno Becker returns as Santiago Munez still playing for Real Madrid and about to sign for Tottenham. His two best friends including Leo Gregory as Charlie Braithwaite are English and are all about to be selected for their world cup squads for their respective teams. However, one night at a film premiere they are involved in a devastating car crash which leaves their world cup dreams in doubt. The film then moves to the world cup and follows England's progress as they go through the tournament. This is by far the worse of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Goal 3 - Taking On The World (DVD): Poor. (275 words)
by - written on 26/10/09 (Very useful, 17 readings)
Rating:

This is a good DVD following on from the entertaining series. However, it is poor and follows the same trend, getting worse. The plot is ok, and it's good for football fans, but not much else. The acting is weak and it's mainly just a waste of your time. The design is horrid on the front, but also the case seems cheap compared to other films. The price is quite good for entertainment, costing about £4/5. Pretty good to spend the time, but you will probably be disappointed afterwards. The story is weak, but the script is funny in places. Premium Review Wish I wouldn't have bothered (356 words)

Rating:

Saw this last night and cannot believe that I even managed to finish watching it, that is how much I din't like this film. Goal I and II were enjoyable even from a non-football fans perspective because you can't help but like the lead character Santiago. Its a story about the poor boy-done good. Santiago is basically scouted and leaves his home country to try out for a Premiership Club. He is taken on by one of those clubs and the first two films show you his rise to fame. This film Goal II didn't rally feature Santiago Munez, the character which we loved in Goal I and II. He features in about 5 minutes in Goal III. The rest of the film was ...  Read the complete review
