Advantages: good action and cars

Disadvantages: not one of those brilliantly clever films

Gone in sixty seconds is a great movie to go and watch if you want a bit of entertainment without too much romance and emotion. for me nicholas cage is THE actor at hte moment, and once again he shines in this film. co-star angelina jolie also plays her role excellently, as does the mute thug vinnie jones. without giving too much away, the basic storyline is that nicholas cage, the worlds best car stealer, has to steal 50 top of the range cars in 72 hours. this is basically a fab excuse to see lots of great cars being driven round at high speed, and i loved it! the critics claimed the car chsaes were nothing compared to the likes of the french connection, but to be fair not many have been, and in my opinion the car chases in this film are superb. true, there isn't a brilliantly clever plot, but the film is high-octane fun all the way through, and well worth a watch.
