This is surely what going to the cinema is all about - you can forget the trials of real life and immerse yourself in 90 minutes of car chases, explosions and general escapism! This is a quality, high-budget action flick with big-name stars like Nicolas Cage, Robert Duvall and the gorgeous Angeline Jolie, and even though the plot is frankly ... Read the complete review

I have always been a bit of a tomboy, being the oldest and having my dad teach me about cars and guy sorta things, which makes me absolutely adore cars. Especially those gleaming lowered, sports cars, that draw anyone's attention in. And the cars on this film definitely got my pulse racing. I saw this quite a while back now, ... I like cars. Simple. so for me this film was very enjoyable. A tad unbelievable a times but the beautiful Angelina Jolie distracts the average male mind from the somewhat insignificant storyline fault. The cars are what dreams are made of!! - 50 gorgeous sports cars - A blonde Angelina Jolie. It is a perfect film. It is silly, ... Read the complete review

This is a great film, with good actors/actresses, and an excellent plot. I thoroughly enjoyed the exciting car chases etc. as the 'lads' tried to escape the Police. There are some very close calls when stealing the cars, but each problem is masterfully overcome (like chaining the baddies car to a 16-wheeler!), or they just burn em off! The ... This wouldn't have been my immediate choice of film to watch, but seeing as I had taken my husband out for the evening and he was flying away 3 days later for 4 months I thought that I would indulge him and go and watch Gone in 60 Seconds. I'd seen clips for the movie and even though I think Nicholas Cage is great in most of his films ... Read the complete review

Well, what can be said about this film but sheer brilliance. This film has to be the best that I have ever seen. It is fast and furious and keeps you on the edge of your seats. If you are a car fanatic, then this film is a definite as it features a number of superb fast, sports cars that would not be seen on the normal roads. Any film with Nicolas ... Gone In 60 Seconds is a big dissappiontment. I thought I would be seeing a film with loads of car chases. Instead I saw a dreadful film with only one decent car chase. The highlight of the film, apart from the end credits was Mr. Vinny Jones' speech. It seems he will be Hollywoods next rent-a-hardman and good luck to him. Most ... Read the complete review

Nicholas Cage plays a retires car thief who makes a come back to save the life of his younger brother from the clutches of an evil English man. Cage, of course, has a mirror - a kop who has been trying to catch Cage for years and now finally has the chance to lock him away if it wasn't for the fact that Cage is driving very very fast ... My wife dragged me to see this film as I had heard bad reviews about it. I like Nicolas Cage films but was not sure about this one. I have to say that in the end I enjoyed the film but I was a little disappointed that there were no more car chases involved. The car chase at the end was just excellent. Why was there not more of these. ... Read the complete review

This is clearly a 'popcorn' movie. But it's a good one. The plot is simple, but intriguing : Nick Cage (well, his character) has to steal cars to save his brother. 50 cars in one night. Blimey! The most obvious problem is the pace of the film. It starts off quite slowly. The director builds up all the history, and ... Read the complete review

Gone in 60 seconds has to be the best action movie i've seen in a while. OK, basically Nicholas Cage and a gang of associate car theifs have one night in which to steal 50 cars, about 6 cars each. Not to hard, until you realise that they are all exotics, like Ferraris, Porsches, Mercedes S-class', and old classics, including the infamous ... Read the complete review

Gone In 60 Seconds refreshing change to normal run-of-the-mill car chase films. I stars Nic Cage as a retired car thief who must return to do one last job. His brother's gang attempts a 'boost' (they try to steal 50 ordered cars to deliver) but fail. He will be killed if Memphis (Cage) does not deliver the order in three ... Read the complete review

I'm 17 and as you know that’s when you start driving. A film about joyriding and fast cars is just perfect at this age, isn't it? Well after the experience of watching this film at the cinema and getting the quickest lift home in my life I bought the film on DVD. The movie is all about a bunch of car thieves who land their ... Hatred really doesn't even begin to cover what I feel for 'action' movies. So why on earth did I go to see this one? Well, it was either that, or the Road to Eldorado!! You see my point? Well, to say I was swayed by this movie is understating the case a little!! From the moment the film started rolling, I thought - "This is gonna ... Read the complete review

Sex, Cars, Cars and more cars and that sums up the film. This film is a certificate 15 and stars Nicholas Cage, Robert Duvall, Angelina Jolie and Vinnie Jones. Nicholas Cage stars as Randall "Memphis" Raines who has an absolute fixation on cars. He can break into any car within 60 seconds. This was all in the past until he finds ... Read the complete review

I have alway liked Jerry Bruckheimer films. Every now and again I like to switch off and relax. This is one film that lets you do that. In all I thought that there wasn't enough of the car stealing, and way too much of Vinnie Jones (he was so far up his own arse he needed a torch.) But other than that, this is a great film, the cars ... Read the complete review

This film is totally cool, and Nic Cage uses all of his usual fun mannerisms. The car chase at the end makes up for any loss of story line. Ignore the critics and go and see this film. When you have this much fun and action, WHO NEEDS STORY!!! This is a Jerry Bruckheimer film remember, if you want story go see a boring Shakespeare movie....and ... Read the complete review

Gone in sixty seconds is one of those crime-glorifying adrenaline fests which can really get your juices flowing. Gone In 60 Seconds is another action movie full of tired ideas. In an age when there are literally hundreds of films featuring cars chases, guns and stunts what puts this above the rest? In truth, nothing. A number of things bug me about this film. First of all, and I make this comment as proud Brit rather then a movie critic, why was ... Read the complete review

I had heard that this film was pretty dire and had no story whatsoever and so i was pleasantly surprised. OK so it was pretty cheesy with an obvious plot with the compulsory mushy family bit and mushy/sexy love interest bit but hey - that is what made it so great... well, among other things. The most fantastico thing about this ... Read the complete review
