one of the best films ever (Gone With The Wind (DVD))

Advantages: CLASSIC, great acting Disadvantages: the story might seem a bit old-fashioned
Gone With the Wind is an epic tale of the Civil war in the United States through the story of Scarlett O' Hara. The book was hughly successful for Margaret Mitchell, its writer. As you read the book, or watch the movie, you will be fascinated by the heroine, Scarlett, played by Vivien Leigh, and by the deviishly handsome Rhett Butler, Clark Gable,in his best part ever. Visually, the photography is astouding, covering everything from the beautiful ball gowns to the devastation of war. People either admire the steely guts of Scarlett, who proves to be a survivor of the chaos of war, or despise her for her scheming ways. Many memorable lines have come from that movie- "I'll think about that tomorrow, for tomorrow is another day," "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn," Summary: |
