Synopsis

In order to keep the woman of his dreams from falling for another guy, Charlie Logan has to break the curse that has made him wildly popular with single women: Sleep with Charlie once, and the next man you meet will be your true love.

Story

The story begins in 1985 when 10 year old Charlie (or Chuck to his friends) and best friend Stu are at a party playing a game of spin the bottle/ 10 minutes in paradise (a cupboard). On Chuck's spin it points at a Goth looking girl, once in the cupboard Chuck spurns her advances so the girl puts a hex on him, love will be all around him but all he'll get is pain.
Skip to present day. Chuck is now a dentistand Stu a reconstructive surgeon specialising in boob jobs. Chuck gets dumped by his most recent girlfriend, Carol as because he won't say the words she longs to hear "I love you". He won't say it if he doesn't feel it.
While attending the wedding of another of his ex's the bride raises a toast to Chuck as her lucky charm because not longewr after she broke up with him she found true love with her husband. It's also at this wedding where Chuck briefly meets Cam Wexler, a very clumsy, penguin obsessed yet amazingly beautiful girl.
Days after the wedding Chuck's dental surgery is suddenly full of women wanting appointments and his answering machine is full of message off women wanting to date him. when he does actually go on a date the woman in qustion just wants to sleep with him so she meet the love her life next but this is interrupted by a phone call from Cam needing a dentist.
After treating her Cam refuses to date to Chuck as she has heard about his reputation with the ladies so Chuck encouraged by friend Stu decides that he'll just sleep around offering a public service. Chuck doesn't believe that he is infact a lucky charm for women and cursed himself so when he and cam do eventually get close he needs to test the theory before taking her to bed.

My Thoughts

I do think that the the storyline is quite a good one but this film doesn't live up to potential, I feel there is so much more that could've been done to make it more entertaining.
A lot of the laughs are mainly visual coming from Cam's accidents rather than the script but there are few funny lines in the movie.
tYou may noticed that the cast list in this review is rather short, thats mainly beacuse there are so many bit part actors in this film, I've only mentioned the ones relevent to the plot.
during the middle of the film while Cam refuses to date chuck little happens and when chuck decided to do a service to women everywhere all that happens is we see Chuck having sex with loads of women and loads of breasts.
It's fun in parts and midly entertaining but the ending of the film is very predictable and has been done to death now.
Overall I think this film will appeal to hetrosexual boys/men in their teens or early twenty's, there's more sex in it than romance so fans of romcoms will not be blown away by it.
All in all it was ok, it passed a bit of time but it's not very memorable, I won't be adding it to my DVD collection and I won't be watching it again.
Although it maybe worth mentioning that by boyfriend liked it a lot.
