Apart from Jerry Maguire, this has got to be the most invloving film ever made. The sheer scale and duration of this film, contribute to a tru masterpiece, by one of the greatest director ever ; Martin Scorsese. He is an absolute genius, and when combined with "Robert De Niro", "Joe Pesci" and "Ray Liotta", the resulting films is nothing but a legend. The portrayl of life in the mafia has always been one of interest to us joe public, and Goodfellas is still going strong, after its realease date 11 years ago.

STORYLINE

Little lad named Henry Hill, follow him through 3 decades of the mafia, from a little kid learning the trade. Up to full scale airport rades. The storyline is simply superb and will leave you feeling gutttered when its over.

Robert Di Niro

He is a genius of our modern day film industry. His name when mentioned automatically is asscociated with quality. His role as "Jimmy Conway", as one of the main guys, is fitted perfectly to his cool, calm and collected personality.

Joe Pesci

Best known for his hilarious parts as one of the bad guy duo on the "Home Alone" series. When I began to watch the dvd I couldnt picture him as anything but a fault-ridden amateur crook, but as the film progressed you realised just how superb he is. He recieved a Best Supporting actor award, and duly so. Brilliant performane.

Ray Liotta

He plays the grown-up Henry Hill, and his arrogant attitude, combined with his gangster charm, leads to the final piece in this incrediable jigsaw. Hes not portrayed as the main charachter on the front of thr dvd case, but he does have the most on screen time in the film. He turns out to be the who pulls through, but loses his friends. He breaks the mafia code, and he has to pay.

If you are a serious film buff you will already know everything I have said, this is a film everyone must see. It changes your outlook on life, Italian charm, drama and suspense all at their best. If you want a quiet night in wife your girl, this aint the film for you. With multiple violence scenes, and bad language throughout, its one to watch with your mates or alone to appreciate it most.

It also recieves and Academy Award, but no Oscars. Surely theres something wrong there.......
