Gossip Girl is an American drama revolving around teenagers at a very posh private school in Manhattan. There is also plenty of drama and stories involving their parents which provide some very interesting dramatical storylines. The main characters, Serena, Blair, Chuck, Dan, Nate, Jenny, Vanessa are all there and this season follows them in their final year at school. After The O.C finished in 2007 I felt a significant gap in the American teen drama front, of course there's One Tree Hill which only asset is the gorgeous Chad Michael Murray, aside from that it's completely dire, then of course there's the revamp of 90's teen drama 90210 which, much like One Tree Hill is utterly hopeless. Gossip Girl Season 2 was aired during the 2008 - 2009 season. The second season premiered on September 1st and the finale was shown on May 18th. The average viewers for this season was 2.8 million, just over 20 million more than season 1. Whereas the first season got a lot of nominations for awards and won 6 of them, season 2 was nominated for 6 awards but didn't win any of them.
