Advantages: Funny, entertaining, addictive viewing, so much better than the original Grease film

I have watched and loved Grease 2 probably over a hundred times since i was a young child. I know lots of people prefer the original Grease film but i have always loved Grease 2 a lot better. I think its a classic rom com that will be watched for generations.

Grease 2 hit our screens in 1982 and is the sequel to the original Grease film made in 1978. It is a musical film and was directed by Patricia Birch.

The running time of the film is 115 minutes and i would have loved it to have been longer as i thought it was brilliant.

The film had a great cast including Maxwell Caulfield, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lorna Luft and Adrian Zmed. I only recently found out that Maxwell Caulfield is Mark from Emmerdale (i couldnt believe it, i was so shocked!)

The story centres around the daily lives of the students at Rydell high school.

Character Stephanie breaks up with T Bird Johnny as she feels like she has outgrown him. A new student Michael joins Rydell high and as soon as he sees Stephanie he is smitten.

At a bowling game later that week, Stephanie kisses "the next man to walk through the door"

This happens to be Michael and from then on he does everything he can to become cool like the T Birds and even builds his own motorbike.

Will Michael ever get Stephanie or will she slip away from his grasp? I wont tell you anymore of the storyline incase i spoil it for you but i have to say that i think this is an amazing film that i never get bored watching.

The music is brilliant in it and i know every single song lyric off by heart. I prefer the characters of Michael and Stephanie a lot more than Danny and Sandy in the original Grease film.

I just think that they have a better on screen chemistry and are more entertaining to watch.

I bought Grease 2 years ago for around £10 on dvd but you can buy it at the moment for £3.89 from Sendit.com. I think this is a great price for such a romantic classic film.
