Rating:
It must take guts to make a film like "Green Zone" during times like this. When so many soldiers are dying daily, anyone making objections against the war will most likely be accused of slandering the war, not supporting the soldiers and the country. No surprises then, that "Green Zone" was met with similar ludicrous claims and criticisms. But let's get something straight and clear up any untruths: "Green Zone" is not an anti-war propaganda, nor is it anti-American/unpatriotic. What is this really against? Lies. Big conspiracy cover-ups initiated by blind politicians that lead to the deaths of thousands of people. No war is good. ... Read the complete review

------------------ Certificate 18 Genre - War Thriller RuN-TiMe - 115 minutes Suited - Young adults and up American ------------ So, Damon and Greengrass are back, but not for Bourne, both reticent to revisit the superb franchise for undisclosed reasons (probably holding out for more money), deciding to go with this enjoyable popcorn thriller about the failure to find WMD in Iraq instead. Universal asked Greengrass what he wanted to do after the Bourne Ultimatum and he went for something along the lines of '911' and the Iraq War, those tense and controversial true life events suited to his style of film making. As a war cameraman ... Read the complete review

Shortly after the invasion of Iraq in 2003, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) and his squad search the country for the WMD's that instigated the war. Coming up empty time and again, Miller begins an investigation of his own into some shady governmental dealings and why those weapons continue to elude him. British director Paul Greengrass has tackled the burning issue of Middle Eastern tensions before with United 93, although I think I remain the only person on the planet who found that film inherently pointless and mind-numbingly dull. Ignoring the possibility of being labelled a terrorist-sympathiser for not enjoying the film, Green Zone is, in my ... Read the complete review

Chief Miller is leading a team of soldiers in Baghdad trying to find weapons of mass destruction to prove that the Americans were right to invade the country. Unfortunately their search proves nothing as all the sites they are searching prove to be empty. Miller is tipped off by an old CIA agent that the information he is being given is all false and that the American government always knew that the weapons did not exist. It is when Miller and his team are out on a mission that they are told by a local man about a very important meeting taking place which some of the most wanted men are attending Miller is faced with a terrible truth. Should he continue ... Read the complete review

As you might think from the title this review is not about the popular boy band, Boyzone but about the movie Green Zone. I have called it Boy Zone as this, in my opinion is a complete and utter boy movie and not even the main role of Matt Damon could save this from being a really uninteresting movie for me I'm afraid. Green Zone was released by Universal Studios in 2010. The back of the box reads like this, "The time: 2003. The place: Baghdad. The mission: locate weapons of mass destruction hidden by Saddam's regime. Chief Miller (Matt Damon) leads an elite army team searching for WMD's......instead they uncover a deadly conspiracy of murder and deception ... Read the complete review
