Advantages: Just delightful

Disadvantages: Too short

As a lesbian movie Gypo is a cut above the rest. It's delicate handling of the lesbian love story and the believable chemistry between the leads makes this movie memorably

It's confrontation of the British publics suspicion of foreigners is managed authentically but without criticism

The movie photography could have been better, in some areas but over all okay

The great thing about the movie is it's three stories in one, ie it looks at the same story from three different perspectives. Each person interpreting events in light of his or her own experiences and needs

Also unlike most lesbian interest movies, there is more that 'the lesbian love story' going on. There are issues anbout immigration, teenage pregnancy and a little about personal motivation

Also the dialogue flows smoothly and is absolutely authentic. No cliches or cringy lines, just great dialogue

Good movie all round. I watched it several times
