Advantages: the music's as good as ever

Disadvantages: not scary enough

Everyone knows that sequels hardly ever come near the quality of the original, and this film just shows that the more sequels, the worse they get. I love Halloween, I think it's the funniest film after Toy Story 2 but I think somewhere on the way to Halloween 4 they lost the plot. The only thing Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers had that matched the quality of the original was the music. Michael Myers himself doesn't seem to have the same evil inhumanity that made me shiver through Halloween, the tension's not the same and when he comes back to life a million times as usual it's just boring, not funny like in the original. A pretty run of the mill sequel all in all, it's not terrible but if you look for what I look for in a horror you'll be dissapointed cos it's neither bone chilling or hilarious. There's not even one decapitation : (
