Back in 1995, there were adverts on the BBC for a new Sunday night programme, Hamish Macbeth. Set in a fictional Scottish village, my parents and I were intrigued and made a point of watching the first episode. From that point on, we were hooked. I love BBC Sunday night dramas; on the whole you know what you're going to get, and they're a nice way to round off the weekend. But for me, none have matched the brilliance of Hamish Macbeth.
