Advantages: good plot, good acting, will definitely make you jump

Disadvantages: kind of puts you off your food

Wow. Silence of the Lambs was chillingly good. Hannibal takes it to a whole new level. This film was s-s-scary, whereas SoTL was just good and entertaining.
Of course, there was a lot of gore, though that was to be expected, it really was excellent. It has a great storyline, and Antony Hopkins gave an outstanding performance that will have you quaking in your boots. Watching it at home alone in my room was probably not the best idea - but at least no-one was around to witness my startled screams and girly squeals.
Julianne Moore also did a very good job - although hers was tougher since she had to make those people who had seen the 1st film forget that she replaced Jodi Foster. I have to admit, I did find myself comparing the two, but again, that was probably to be expected.
I did wonder what they could possibly do with the plot to make it stand out from the 1st film, but they came up with a good storyline and it flowed well from the first film.
This is not my usual choice of genre, but all in all, an excellent film, with some great scenes that will stay in your head for ages, especially the end ... i won't give it away, but I will say, don't ever let your kids taste anyone else's meals on an airplane.
