Advantages: Laugh a minute, suitable for all ages

Disadvantages: Predictable ending (but doesn't spoil the fun)

I love this film, despite the soppy and telegaphed ending. This is one of the two films that made Adam Sandler, and the first part of his prouction company Happy Maddison.

One of life's dropouts, Happy can't get into the NHL as he's always dreamed of. He's agressive and has one heck of a power shot... But sadly, he just can't skate. When his Grandma, who raised him, has her house taken by the IRS and Happy gets spotted by a pro golfer and is offered to be taught for free, it's pretty obvious where this film is going to end up. What's fun here is the riot along the way, from punching players, extreme bleeping on the TV, to accidentally hurting an old lady this film gathers momentum quickly and despite seeing it lots of times, never fails to have me laughing all the way through.

My most watched film, I wore the VHS copy out, and am on my second DVD. The subject matter means that the film hasn't dated, and the comedy doesn't rely on anything other than visuals and great delivery of lines. My parents and children have both enjoyed the film, and I think it's a film that everybody must see at least once.

Summary: The funniest film I've ever seen.
