Harrison's Flowers is a film that seems to have slipped under the radar, and truth be told, I only watched it because the DVD was given to me for free. It is a hard hitting, stark portrayal of war ravaged Yugoslavia, showing the danger that war photographers put themselves in to bring us the pictures that we take for granted. Harrison (David Stathairn) is a Pullitzer winning photographer, with a steady source of competition around him. However, when the chips are down, everyone rallies together, and rivalries are forgotten, none moreso than in this film.
