Advantages: EPIC, INCREDIBLE, AWESOME
Disadvantages: That there are no more books to base a movie around
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" is the 8th movie in the enormously successful Harry Potter movie series and the second part of the conclusion to the franchise, it is directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Ralph Fiennes.

The Plot:
Set directly after the previous movie ended, Harry Potter ( Daniel Radcliffe ) has just buried the house elf Dobby who saved their lives, along with his friends Ron Weasley ( Rupert Grint ) and Hermione Granger ( Emma Watson ) they find themselves in a remote cabin on a secluded part of the English Coastline, Harry soon realises their mission to find the remaining Horcruxes ( the separated parts of Lord Voldemorts soul ) must continue and they must destroy them to destroy Voldemort ( Ralph Fiennes )
After persuading the Goblin "Griphook" to sneak them into Gringotts to find the next Horcrux they find themselves once again facing off against evil death-eaters, including the new headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Snape ( Alan Rickman ), however soon enough Harry returns to his school and a plan is formed to finish the war once and for all, and an epic conclusion awaits.

I've written previous reviews on the Harry Potter film series and it seems that every movie I watched I liked more and more, until around halfway through the franchise the series seemed to deviate from the children oriented theme of the first couple into the movie we see here, a dark and very adult based action / fantasy movie that I'm sure will leave some children hiding behind their couch, and while there are indeed some few elements that will still appeal to kids, the movie is clearly marketed towards adults at this point, and to its benefit.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 is such a fitting end to the franchise, I know when it was first announced that the final installment would be broken up into two parts people cried foul and accused the studio of using it to make more money, and while there is no doubt that it was a highly profitable move, I think they did the right thing, as anyone who has read the last book in the series knows that there would be no way they could fit all that into one movie, unless the movie was 5 hours long, and so they split it up into two movies and both installments are better for it.
We see some incredible cinematography here with dark shots when necessary and some lighter shots to break it up, the acting is first rate from all involved and when you see the performances of the young lead actors in particular you can see how they have matured into fine thespians, especially if you pop in the first movie and see how terrible an actor Daniel Radcliffe was.
Everything just comes together to form what I think is pretty close to the perfect movie, we have some of the most epic scenes you'll see in a movie, and certainly the battle scenes in Hogwarts live up to the scenes I played out in my head while reading them in the book, special effects at this point are at a level where the whole thing looks believable and you can imagine you're right there in the school battling with them.
I really don't have a bad word to say about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, for me its the perfect movie and a worthy way to finish out one of my favourite movie franchises of all time, if you're a fan of the books then this is obviously a must see movie, if you're not but have watched the movies then this is still a must see movie, and if for some reason you have returned to the planet earth after a 10 year absence and haven't seen a Harry Potter movie before, then this is also must see....but you must watch the previous 7 movies as a requirement !!
EPIC !!
Summary: A worthy end to one of the greatest movie franchises of all time
