(Film Only Review) What do Susan Boyle, The Simpsons, and Harry Potter have in common? They are each giants in their own way. Susan Boyle who made the worlds jaws drop by singing "I Dreamed A Dream" on "Britain's got Talent," and has evolved to become an international superstar. The Simpsons which has been ... One of the problems with having a Cineworld monthly card is that you end up going to see movies that you wouldn't normally dream of spending your hard-earned moolah on. Having seen the earlier HP offerings I suppose I should have known better. I have to admit that I can see why people like Harry Potter, because, in the end it's pretty harmless, ... The 6th installment of the Harry Potter series had its theatrical release delayed by over 6 months so that it could be the big summer blockbuster of 2009. (That really was the reason.) This meant that fans had a long build up to get excited about the film and the truth is that while I enjoyed another film, it left a lot to be desired. ... Read the complete review

Harry Potter and the half blood prince is the long awaited film to follow on from the goblet of fire. This film isn't the greatest of the harry potter series so far. Compared to the previous 5 films this one is well rubbish compared to them. If you have not read the book before watching it you will sort of get lost half way through because the ... Harry potter and the half blood prince. A very long awaited addition of the Harry potter phenomenon that reunites Ron, Hermione and all the other witches, wizards we have enjoyed reading and watching for the last few years. As a Harry potter fan I can only describe this film as an utter disappointment and a complete lack of ... Read the complete review

I waited so long to see this new Harry Potter film but I was left somewhat disappointed. It is still a good film, dont get me wrong and I havent read the book, so I think it is important to point that out aswell. I was particulary looking forward to seeing certain subplots develop, but unfortunately they did not occur, like the ... Read the complete review

A truly disapointing film in the series. Harry Potter and the half blood prince was one of my favourite books in the Harry Potter series, but this film failed to match the book even remotely. The acting of the main characters has improved throughout the series but I think everybody was expecting a big jump that just wasn't reached in ... Read the complete review

A few years ago I very much enjoyed reading the Harry Potter books and watching the films but for some reason (probably the arrival of two small girls) I lost interest in the later ones, finding them both a bit dark in their content and also a little hard going. I definitely have not seen the last couple of films and I think I gave up reading the ... Read the complete review

I'm not going to go into the plot for this too much - as I'm sure most of you know already! This is the film version of the sixth book, Voldemort is back, Harry and his friends are growing up and face yet more danger. A major character dies and it sets the scene the last part of the series. I've always thought that your reaction to the ... Read the complete review

(Film only review) I am usually a notorious finger pointing, bitter critic of all the Harry Potter movies. I have feasted upon the seven books and I never, ever saw even a single one of the five previous movies do any justice to the series as a whole. Until I finally decided to watch the latest movie- Harry Potter and the Half ... Read the complete review

A really good film gives leaves the viewer awaiting to final two installments of the the series.
Pros: Some really good camera movement by david yates, the cinematography in the film made me smile as always with the Harry Potter films.
The CGI really blew me away!
Cons: Didn't do the book as much justice as it could have.
The film focused more on the love triangles at Hogwarts rather than voldemort. I felt that it was a bit rushed (fair enough it can't last a long time) but an example would be the revealing of the Half Blood Prince, after the book is thrown away mid way through the film you randomly find out in a pointless scene who he was.
Other than that it was a pretty good watch and i can't wait for the 7th film(s).

Harry Potter returns with its sixth installment- Harry Potter and the goblet of fire. Leaping into the sixth year at Hogwarts this one is thankfully darker and more mature in approach with things getting more serious with every passing year at Hogwarts. I was really looking forward to this film mainly due to the fact that Half blood prince remains ... Read the complete review

Like many of the Harry Potter reviewer on here I am a big fan of the Harry Potter books and films. I know a lot of fans don't enjoy the films as much as they expected, but I am not one of them. Books are always better than the films, but in the case of Harry Potter I do think that the film adaptations are very well done. Fans of the book know how ... Read the complete review

Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince was an ok film probably one of the worst Harry Potter films, Half Blood Prince over all should have been made longer and have more of the story invovled in it. I was really excited to go watch Harry Potter, we even got tickets for the same day it came out but it was a big disappointment. We've waited to long ... Read the complete review

As a huge fan of the series, I was completely enamoured by the latest installment to make it on to the big screen. I'm a big, big fan of the books, which are brilliantly written so sometimes I find the films a little bit disappointing! I am desperately trying to write this review from the FILM perspective rather than the book. The book incidentally is my favourite out of the seven, so I was really excited to see this at the cinema. To write this unbiasedly (I just want to love it), it helped immensely to be with people in the cinema who have not read the books. My parting ... Read the complete review
