Advantages: EVERYTHING!!!!....
Disadvantages: it finishes.....
I'm sorry to admit it, but I am completely obsessed with this film. That's a very sad thing, especially coming from a sixteen year old Christian Slater fan. I can happily sit in front of this, despite the fact that I must have seen it enough times to drive the average person watching the average film to the point of insanity. The thing is, Heathers isn't just another American teen high school film. It isn't even just another Christian Slater film. Heathers is as amazing as I can possibly bring you to believe. It is brilliantly scripted. Hillarious one-liners, bitchy Heathers and insane ramblings from J.D., make a film that will leave you awed, amused and pondering almost every aspect of the American society today. The acting is also far from flawed. Christian Slater, unlike some of his attempts afterwards, had chosen a film which highlights his amazing ability for acting the evil-but-oh-so-sexy rebel (see also Pump Up The Volume, Very Bad Things. Yes, I'm an obsessed, but I'm a teenage girl! what do you expect :P). Winona Ryder is also good, but unlike our dear Christian, she seems to be talented in not only acting, but in picking good films to star in. Yes, I know there were other people in this film, but none of them were quite as psychotic/sexy/well known... However, the Priest made me giggle a lot. He was also in Beetlejuice, I'm not sure what his name is, but he's good :). If you haven't already seen this, and for some strange reason think you don't want to, all I have to say is (in the words of Heather #1) 'Did you have a brain tumour for breakfast?'
