Larry Bishop's Hell Ride is one of the most self indulgent films to come about in some time, not only because Bishop writes, acts, and directs in it, but that he places himself in such positions with such beautiful women that to call this anything more than a glorified vanity project is simply to missell. That said, there is some perverse pleasure to be had watching this greasy, careless Grindhouse throwback. Pistolero (Bishop) is a totally badass biker (or at least Bishop would like you to think that), who rides the open road along with buddies The Gent (Michael Madsen) and Comanche (Eric Balfour). A film about Larry Bishop. Written, directed and starring.... Larry Bishop. The film had a good concept, but it doesn't work because of... Larry Bishop! This was an hour and a half of watching an unattractive, short, self-obsessed man demonstrate exactly why he should not be allowed in Hollywood. The film tells the story of Pistolero (Larry Bishop), the leader of the motorcycle gang 'The Victors'. After one of their members is killed by rival gang the 666ers, they swear revenge on the gangs leaders; Billy Wings (Vinnie jones) and The Deuce (David Carradine).
