before i start i would like to say that this series is most definately the best series ever seen on tv and i am not just saying that, once you have seen the first 1 or 2 episodes you are hooked.it is about a bunch of ordinary people just like me or you but they gradually gain superpowers, when you hear that you cant imagine it to be good as you will be thinking 'oh another sci-fi fiction programme' this is not the case atall !! Heroes is so realistic and believable that it has you on the edge of your seat, trust me this series is simply great. these are some of the characters which gain these strange abilities.... isaac mendez-----isaac is a drug addict ... Unless you've been living on another planet for the last few years you will have at least heard of the world-wide hit that is Heroes - the series that has spawned novels, graphic novels, actions figures, t-shirts and CDs. If somehow you have managed to miss the first incredible series of Heroes fear not, as it is on DVD and can be picked up at a very reasonable price. What Is Heroes About? Heroes is about the lives of people who have found that they have special powers that set them apart from normal folk. The series follows their lives as they try to hide said powers and what happens when they meet others of their kind. No-one yet knows why some ... Read the complete review

I watched a Gilmore Girls DVD and thought the guy who played Jess was a great actor (yes yes, he's very pretty too) and looked him up, realised it was "the guy from Heroes" so thought I would give it a watch and see if I liked it. There are 23 episodes in Season One and I was absolutely hooked from the start. The first few episodes pretty much set the scene. We find out the back stories of the main characters. This begins with Peter and Nathan Petrelli. Peter is the younger of the two. He is a dreamer and an idealist. He comes across as quite naive and very ... Read the complete review

The DVD release of Heroes, season 1, was met with great anticipation. Heroes as a TV show was a great concept and very well executed. Perhaps the most praiseworthy element to it was its virtual lack of previously famous cast members, with the exception being Malcolm McDowell and Ali Larter, and they aren't the top billing in effect. Heroes is a saga that features people with certain abilities. The show is narrated, in effect, by Dr Mohinder Suresh, whose father started an experiment into genetic differences that create what are perceived as superhero abilities. Suresh's studies lead him to different people, all with abilities, and the show follows these people ... Read the complete review

Heroes is one of the most popular science fiction series to date, first aired in 2006, the first series featured 23 episodes, and at its high point was seen by over 16million people in the U.S alone. Created by Tim Kring, it follows the story of ordinary people, with extraordinary powers. The beginning of the series, see's these ordinary every day people, starting to realise they have abilities/powers. There are several main characters in the first series, I'll list them without too much detail as I don't wan't to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it ; Mohinder Saresh ; A genetesist from India who has no abilities himself, but who's ...
