Advantages: crazy cool fantastic story line, a great cast
Disadvantages: none atall
before i start i would like to say that this series is most definately the best series ever seen on tv and i am not just saying that, once you have seen the first 1 or 2 episodes you are hooked.it is about a bunch of ordinary people just like me or you but they gradually gain superpowers,when you hear that you cant imagine it to be good as you will be thinking 'oh another sci-fi fiction programme' this is not the case atall !! Heroes is so realistic and believable that it has you on the edge of your seat,trust me this series is simply great.
these are some of the characters which gain these strange abilities....
isaac mendez-----isaac is a drug addict he often shoots up with heroin,he discovers hes ability when everytime he shoots up he gains the ability to paint the furure, as he is a drug addict no-one believes him...
hiro nakamura----hiro nakamura is a average man who works in an office as a computer programmer and hes best friend is ando
hiro discovers hes powers when he is on a sub train in japan and he sees a picture or new york, he scrunches hes ayes up as is he is wishing he was there and then he is teleported there!!,this is really cool he now has the ability to pause/rewind/fast forward time and teleport to anywhere in the world.hiro has some problems controlling hes abilities at first but gradually gets the hang of it.
peter petrelli--peter petrelli is a man who believes he can fly, he keeps having drams about this and finally brings himself to jumping off a 200 ft high city blovk in to an alley hoping he would fly...hes brother nathan batrelli rescues him, but peter is put into hospital.peter gradually learns that he doesnt have the ability to fly but he actually has the ability to temporarilly steal anyones power around him, hense why he thought he could fly.
matt parkman-- matt parkman is just a ordinary traffic warden,he realises that he has the ability to read peoples minds, he discovers this when he hears one of hes best friends saying in hes mind that he slept with hes wife! matt moves on up to fbi after first being seen as a freak,he begins to solve murders and help investigations..
sylar---as you may of guessed you cant just have a nice story without no bad guy, this is that bad guy... he was an average man called gabriel and he has always wanted to be different,when he discvers that he might be special he is really pleased however when he is told he is not he is not hapy atall! he is good at one thing and that is fixing things, he realises that when he kills people he gains their abilities how,no-one knows.
there are loads more superheroes ut i cant list all of them i strongly reccomend that you watch this great series....

In New York, Peter Petrelli is the younger brother Nathan Petrelli, an highly ambitious and unscrupulous candidate for the next New York congressman,he dreams and believes that he can fly.....He decides to prove his theory and jumps from the roof of a building in an alley and his brother flies and saves him! In Texas, cheerleader Claire Bennet learns that she is literally indestructible and can not harm herself or die. She saves a fireman from a fire on a derailed train, but does not take the credit. In Tokyo, Hiro Nakamura believes he can control time and space continuum. In India, Mohinder Suresh moves to the Brooklyn, New York, where his father, that was researching a secret project called Genesis about genome and DNA, is killed in a taxi cab. But a mysterious man wearing horn-rimmed glasses, might pose a threat to him. In Lower Manhattan, the painter Isaac Mendez paints pictures of the future in which his girlfriend and drug sponsor, Simone, is skeptic to his claims to see in the future. In Las Vegas, stripper Niki Sanders borrows $30,000 from a powerful local mobster to get her young son, Micah, into school, and does not have the money to pay her loan. She sees a different image of her in the mirror, and when two gangsters come to her house to collect the money, one of them hits her and she faints. Later Nikki wakes up, and the two thugs are dead... literally torn apart by her evil alter ego Jessica. In Los Angeles, Matt Parkman is an overly ambitious beat policeman who discovers that he can 'read' peoples thoughts and is forced to help the FBI search for a wanted Saudi national, named Amid, who also discovers that he has the ability to create nuclear radiation in which his former AQ cell wants him to build a nuclear bomb for them. In Utah, Niki's husband and Micah's father, D.L. imprisoned for robbery charges, discovers that he can literally 'walk' through walls.
