Advantages: Was a short movie!

Disadvantages: Just unfunny, un-entertaining, Lame

Now I know why there are free preview tickets!

Okay it was Wednesday, in theory the week is downhill from there. I had the worst day possible, I arrived late at work therefore had to leave a little late and who on earth runs a preview at 6:30pm! Come on some of us work.

Arrive at the Odeon Cinema in Newcastle, for my first time and trust me my last time. Now I have not been to an Odeon Cinema in a while, and well they are getting worse. Greeted with a grunt and then shown to our seat . Now imagine if you would walking through the local tip. Can you hear all that crunching? Okay and imagine the worst laugh possible in the corner of the room. The kind of person you know is going to laugh at the unfunniest parts of the movie. Now add a seat which well quite frankly...okay imagine the seat and then imagine your rear-end is the size of twelve elephants trying to fit in it...and then after spending 10 mins getting comfortable the screen is not focussed and is wonky!

Okay that’s my little rant on Odeon over. Then I got to see the film…..oh my!

This one hits cinemas on 20th July. Now listen boys make sure your otherwise engaged on that date, cleaning the car, mowing the yard, watching paint dry, you get the idea?

This is a movie that the girlies will like, at least that is the impression I got from the mass of women in the cinema.

Okay the movie revolves around two best friends. One being Shannon (Minnie Driver) who is a nurse and like most nurses struggles to do her best with limited resources. Then we have Frances (Mary McCormack) who is an aspiring actress who well is and will continue to wait for her big break. I mean come on how many people doing voices for alien tomatos becomes famous?

Here we have two women who overhear a bank robbery which is taking place in their neighbourhood. And they record little details they manage to get like one of the theives mobile phone number!

Sick of liv
ing on nothing and with their lives going nowhere they decide to play a little blackmail on the gang involved in the robbery and eventually things get out of control, they get deeper involved and well…..there we have it! a stunning plot which really beats the competition huh?

Okay don’t make me laugh, the film didn’t. In fact it was the worst film I have had the dis-pleasure of watching this year. I do wonder how much thought goes into some filmaking, if any at all. I mean the plot in itself really, well does nothing. The humour is very bad and the film is so predictable you know what the ending itself is going to be 5 minutes into the movie.

The only people in the film who put a partial smile on my face was the two detectives involved in solving the robbery, you know two of the most stupid people in the world. There clues consist of two attractive women one blonde and one brunnette and they really struggle to well solve anything. In fact they seem more bothered about the price of housing in the London area!

The people backing this film are the same people fronting cash for films such as Pearl Harbor, Captain Correllis Mandolin, Spy Kids and Dracula 2001. What happened?

The film IS aimed at women, and I honestly think if you grab a few friends go have a few drinks, something to eat or anything prior, then you will more than likely enjoy the movie. Do not base your whole evenings entertainment on this movie alone!

Although saying that on leaving the cinema my wife gave me a 'If I had a knife in my hand I would stab you with it' type of look....not good...trust me!

Guys, well don’t even bother, really a no-go.

Oh and the end credits where the best part! And normally noone watches end credits but it took us all at least 10 minutes to pull our rear-ends out of the seats! Never seen so many elephants in one room.

Go see SHREK instead!

Humm...thanks but seeing as I think Shreck is one of the worst examples of waste of celluloid ever I'll take your opinion with a pinch of salt.

Great op, though you probably did yourself out of a second op about Odeon.
