High School Musical (Encore Edition, DVD)

I do like to watch a cheesy film every so often and this week the one I decided to view was High School Music. I had heard about the film for a while and know that a song from the film was released as a single over here but I just dismissed it as being a cheesy Disney film. Being quite young it is a really cheesy film but it’s one of those kinds you can watch on a lazy afternoon and it will make no change to your life but it is happy and easy to watch with no mind work being done. High School Musical is as it says a musical set in a high school. The main characters Troy played by Zac Efron and Gabriella played by Vanessa Anne Hudgens meet at a New Year's Eve Party where they are forced to sing karaoke together. Surprise surprise despite a shy start they are both great singers and start to enjoy themselves. The evening ends and they part but are soon reunited when Gabriella starts at Troy's school East High. Personally I think this is the best film that has been released in a long time. I'm not much of a fan of musicals but this was brought for me by my boyfriend so thought I'd best watch it, so since 25th December 2006 I have watched this film god knows how many times and know the film word for word song for song. Sad I know but it is a well good film. THE PLOT Troy and Gabriella (main characters) are both on holiday at a ski resort. This is the film of the year which had had so much hype its untrue, having two cousins who sing and words to the whole thing. What is even worse this film is everywhere you turn. Disney is laughing all the way to the bank with the film the merchandising and to top it all a second film.
