Advantages: feel-good factor, good singing and dancing..oh, and Zac Efron

I am in no way ashamed to say that this is my favourite film of all time. I watched it on it's UK tv premiere on the disney channel in 2006, and since then I've lost count of the amount of times I've watched it. Before the high school musical series I wasn't much of a fan on musicals, in fact I'd go so far as to say I couldn't stand most musicals. I watched this merely out of intrigue as a disney channel fan. If you like disney you'll love this film; hence it is such a hit with kids. However I have seen numerous people who never watch the disney channel (adults, might I add) who have agreed to sit and watch this film, and ended up singing and dancing along.
This is one of those films with a real feel good factor, and a happy ending, and you can probably guess exactly what will happen in the film after the first ten minutes. But that doesn't detract from what is a well written, well driected, well acted, and well coreographed movie. Starring Zac Efron and Vanessa Ann Hudgens as the main loved up couple, this film is set in an American high school. The basic jist of it (I don't like giving out loads of details of films as it does ruin it for people), is that Troy (leading male) is the basketball captain and discovers he can sing, whilst also discovering a new love (a math ace who is equally surprised at her own ability to sing). Cue loyalty splits all over between singing and their other activities.
Cheesy lines fill this film which encompasses a lot of singing and dancing that will get you off your chair. In all honesty, you will likely be surprised and impressed with the music and coreography.
I'd recommend this film to everybody.
