While he has had the odd hit, such as Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Match Point, he's also had some fairly routine Allen outings such as Anything Else that have pilfered from his earlier efforts without adding any sort of contemporary insight. Hollywood Ending is a 2002 comedy film written and directed by Woody Allen. In the film, Allen plays Val Waxman, a once serious and respected film director now reduced to shooting deodorant commercials in Canada.
