A review of just the film. A DVD is only £3 from amazon. This is a British horror movie made in 1959. This was at the height of Hammer's initial success, and this is one of the first films made by a competitor to cash in on that. Hammer had introduced lurid colour and more explicit violence to the genre; Anglo-Amalgamated (this film's producer) decided to try and go one better. Horrors of the Black Museum was hated by critics (who, generally, weren't sympathetic to horror anyway). It's probably the first gimmicky bodycount horror, the kind of film in which the killer uses an inventive variety of ways to murder his victims.
