Advantages: Funny, great actors!

Disadvantages: Only on for 86 minutes.

I've always loved a good kids film, and when I saw this one advertised in the Sky Movies mag this month I was quite excited, as was my hubby. I had seen it advertised at the cinema last year, but I don't like going to see kids films at the cinema (as I have no kids to take!) and I feel like a weirdo haha.

So we sat down yesterday to watch! When I heard Jim Carey and Steve Carell were in the film, I was even more excited as these are two of my favoutire actors.

THE PLOT:

Horton is an elepthant who lives in the jungle with his friends, ruled over by Kangaroo, a mean, nasty and bossy animal who controls the actions of all in the jungle, and doesn't like anyone who goes against what she says.

One day Horton is in the jungle teaching his class of youngsters when a speck floats past him, he hears a noise coming from the speck and believes there are tiny people living on it, and so he saves the speck on a clover. But when he starts to tell people about his finding, they think he's crazy especially his best friend Morton the mouse! And Kangaroo tries to rid him of the clover, but he is adamant there is someone living on the speck.....

Down on the speck live the Who's in Whoville...HORTON WAS RIGHT! There is a small town on the spec full of tiny little people called Who's, Mayor of the Whos has been seeing lots of changes in Whoville, weird tremors and changes in weather, when one day he hears something coming from the pipes, he soon realises someone is talking to him...its Horton!!!

Horton tells Mayor that his planet is a speck floating around the real world and that one bang and his whole world would disappear, Mayor goes to the chairman of the town and tells him whats going on, but he thinks the Mayor has gone mad, and dismisses him.

Back in the "big world" Horton is on a mission to keep the speck safe, and heads for a mountain, but Kangaroo has different ideas...as she sends Vlad the Vulture to take the clover from Horton and destroy it, to bring him back town to earth...

Will Horton make it to the mountain and save the Who's??? Will WhoVille believe the mayor and make as much noise as they can to help Horton??

Well I know what happens, but you'll have to watch yourself you find out!! :-p

The film is very funny, and had me and hubby giggling away like little kids!!!

A definite must for Dr Seuss fans anywhere!!!!!!!!! Both adults and kids will adore the film!!!!!! Carey and Carell are both hillarious!!!
