Advantages: Lots of blood

Disadvantages: Lots of blood

This is the follow up to Hostel and it is very similar to the first. We start out by watching a group of girls who are traveling around. They decide that their next stop will be Prague until a stunning, modelesque woman encourages them to go to Slovakia. When they get there, the woman leads them to a hostel where they hand in their passports, pick up their keys and start enjoying their holiday. Unbeknownst to them, people all over the world start bidding on their life and they end up in the dungeons of a building where normal people come to kill.

Like I have already said this is very similar to the first and I did think that it dragged a little in places and was fairly predictable. It wasn't until the girls get down in the dungeons that the film 'hots' up and there are some very exciting twists and turns that makes the film an individual.

Much like the first film there is a lot of blood and gore which I know will scare some people off. There are some rather disgusting scenes which I won't spoil but let's just say that the girl with the pretty face didn't look very pretty after she was finished with.

The acting isn't very good and if it wasn't for the fact that my sick mind knew that there was going to be some limbs chopped off then I would have probably have switched it off. There one character in particular who is very annoying and I can't say that I felt very sorry for her when she got cut to pieces.

The soundtrack is nothing to write home about and I can't say that I remember any of the songs being outstanding which is quite bad considering I only watched it 12 hours ago. It's just the standard dark tunes that try to scare you out of your seat.

I really enjoyed this film over all because I liked the way in which the people were killed. I think it rustles up the inner most dark feelings that I have and made me think about how it would be nice to saw my worst enemies arm off. I don't mean that and if it came down to it I wouldn't be able to do it but you know what I mean.

On a serious note, this movie made me think about how dangerous it is going on holiday. There are so many young girls going on holiday to sleep around and going back to anyones hotels. You just don't know who that person is!

If you fancy something with a bit of 'scare' factor and added blood then you will want to watch this.

Summary: A bloody scary film

"I can't say that I felt very sorry for her when she got cut to pieces" - a very Christian attitude! lol
