Buying a film featuring Kelly Brook was always going to be risky but I still couldn’t quite stop myself from putting House of 9 in my Amazon basket – maybe Dennis Hopper would make up for it? The idea behind this film is similar to that of Saw 2 and based on the classic “And Then There Were None” theme of several people being forced together only for their number to be reduced until there is only 1 (or possibly 2 or even none) person still standing. Nine strangers are abducted, drugged and imprisoned in a large house, from which escape seems pretty impossible. It doesn't matter how hard they bang on the bricked up windows and doors, nobody can hear them. One of them is a policeman. One of them is a priest. One of them is a dancer. None of them are connected, so what's the deal? As they become accustomed to their plight, a voice appears from nowhere to tell them why they are here. It's a game, and a simple one at that.
