Ten years ago I Know What You Did Last Summer was a reasonable hit in respect of box office takings, but even then in reflection few thought little of it. A year later the sequel, met with an even blanker reaction; so to me its a mystery why after so long someone would want to pump fresh blood into this dying formula, more of a mystery I guess is that after disliking its two predecessors I'd take the time and effort to watch a third instalment? It might not come as a surprise when I tell you that this movie goes beyond borderline awful, the film opens with "Do you know about July 4th" putting the viewer straight into the thick of things, and attempting to ... Just after Scream came I Know What You Did Last Summer, the success of both were inspirations for many movie moguls who proceeded to churn out cheap teen slashers to make a fast buck. Then came the inevitable sequels, Scream had another two whilst I Know What You Did became I Still Know What You Did. Although technically it wasn’t last summer, it was actually a few summers ago by the time the sequel turned up. But titles that are a mouthful don’t fit on the video box.
