I rented this movie today after college, and whilst I was in the shop with my nan and we were trying to choose between this and a random chick flick, I had never heard anything about the chick flick, and said you can never go wrong with an Adam Sandler film so that is how we started watching it, like you really care. Now for the decent stuff. ===PLOT=== Adam Sandler and Kevin James play two New York Fire-fighters. Larry (James) is still suffering raising his two children after his wife died three years ago and Chuck will date/sleep with anything that wears a skirt. Larry is trying to change his beneficiary from his late wife to his ... Read the complete review

So over the holiday period I watched a lot of films mainly family types or sad films but I think it has been too long since I watched a half decent comedy. So, being a comedy fan of the likes of Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler I give them a chance usually. I had watched 'The Heartbreak Kid' by Ben Stiller as I reviewed previously but was not impressed so I decided to leave it up to Adam Sandler for a few laughs. My friends had gone to see 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry' at the cinema and said it was funny but I wasn't sure whether to trust them. However, I did and got the film and decided to give it a try as it couldn't hurt really. The film literally just came out ... Read the complete review

Synopsis Two Straight single Brooklyn Fire Fighters (and friends) pretend to be a gay couple in order to receive domestic partner benefits. The Story Larry and Chuck are best friends and work colleagues, both are fire fighters but they couldn't actually be more different. Chuck is a complete jerk, highly sexed, and not interested in settling down, while Larry is a responsible single father of two who is still pining for his late wife Paula. After Paula's death, Larry couldn't even bring himself to open any mail that was addressed to them both and so didn't realize how his pension and benefits were to be effected, when Larry eventually gets ... Adam Sandler is like Marmite, you either love him or hate him. I've no feelings either way, I liked The Wedding Singer but find most of his stuff I can take a pass on. I Now Prounonce You Chuck & Larry was originally slated to be directed by David Dobkin, fresh off the big money taker Wedding Crashers. I can only assume he saw where this was going and decided to pass. Larry (Kevin James) is a big lug of a fireman whose wife passed away leaving him with two kids. When it looks like his benefits are going down the swanny he is stuck in a quandary. But instead of looking into all possible channels, he of course proposes that he and his fellow female loving ... After getting Sky+ a couple of weeks ago I have near enough daily trawled through the film listings and recorded any films that have taken my fancy so that I can watch them at my leisure. Last night finding the downstairs TV vacant and myself with nothing much to do I decided that I would watch one of my recorded films. The one I chose was 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry'. My reasons behind recording this film are very simple indeed; I enjoy Adam Sandler's films. For this reason I was expecting quite good things from the film and on the whole I must say that it delivered. 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry' was released in 2007 and stars Adam ...
