Advantages: Great for all the family, and really, not some gimmick for kids

Disadvantages: None as far as i can see

Ice age is a animated film set in prehistoric times. It follows the tale of some unlikely friends, who come across a baby human, given to them from a dying mother after she tried to escape from a pack of wolves. The unlikely friends (a mammoth, a crazy squirrel, a sabre tooth and, well i'm not quite sure what the other one is) then take it upon themselves to deliver the baby to his people. Along the way they have some laughs, such as Ed (the unidentifiable mammal) and the baby having arguments. They also have some fun, such as the load of them falling down this "slide like" cave, and they also see another animals on their visits. The main plot behind this film is the sabre tooth tiger having a "deal" with his pack of sabre tooth tigers to ambush the group and have them for supper. But over their travels together, the sabre tooth decides that he wont go through with it and betray his friends.
This film is not only funny, but also has a good plot, and is in really good graphics. I mean it when i say this is a film for all the family, its similar in some ways to shriek, funny to all age groups. Also, another thing i really like about this film is seeing Scrat (the crazy squirrel) constantly trying to get his hands on nuts, and failing!
This film is a must see, and is great for the whole family, although i found with this film, it is cheaper to get in a store, for around £2 or so, rather than off amazon (although the store had an offer going on).
