Well I have to say that after sakura8's review of Ip Man there is not a lot left to say! As said the film is a fairly accurate tale of Ip Man's journey from the Foshan area to Hong Kong where he first openly taught Wing Chun as made famous in part by Bruce Lee. The film is frankly awesome and to be honest rates very high on my personal choice. The fight scenes are excellent and very close to true Wing Chun application and the feeling of the whole film is emotive and engaging. I liked the direction and cinematography and I felt very much a part of what was going on. I have to say that I saw the Mandarin version which is dubbed into Cantonese.
