Advantages: Good parts in it and worth a watch

Disadvantages: just another superhero movie

Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jr is the main character in the film and eventually turns out to be Iron Man who also happens to be an engineering genius.

The film starts with Stark in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile he is selling; Stark is then captured and wounded by a rebel force.

His captors want him to make them a missile. Stark does not do this and sneakily with the help of another captured person Wellington Yinsen played by Shaun Toub, creates an armored suit and uses the suit as a life saving machine because of the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack.

Stark then uses the armored suit to escape and makes his way back to the USA. Back in USA he turns over a new leaf and leaves his playboy life behind and announces his company will not be making anymore weapons and he begins working day and night on an updated armored suit
Theres a twist in the tail when Starks second in command Obadiah Stane played by Jeff Bridges is actually against Stark and turns against him in more ways than one.

I really enjoyed this film more than I actually thought I would. The special effects were decent in the film, certainly not up to The Matrix style but the flying and the special weapons were decent. This is certainly not the best film Robert Downey Junior as starred in, but certainly not his worst. But to be honest it is just another superhero film. Defintely worth a watch in my opinion.

Summary: Same old to be honest got some good bits in though and it is worth watching
