Irreversible- directed by Gaspar Noe, starring Monica Belucci is one of the most disturbing films you would come accross. The title speaks a lot about the film, one can't reverse what has happened in life. Fate is inevitable and is something that we can not predict.

The film starts off with disturbing noises and dark visuals which where we see a body is being carried off to an ambulance. The female has been assaulted/killed.What follows is a darker scenario with the male protagonist trying to find someone, someone he beleives murdered his girlfriend. Its a story of revenge, told very differently. The director chooses to be dark and grim, setting the scene in a gay club. The camera wanders around without a focus and as such provides a very disturbing phenomenon in the viewer's mind throughout the initial segment.

The film is essentially divided into three segments arranged in the reverse order.The second shows the three principle characters going to a party.It is mostly filled with conversations, conversations that lets the audience know that the other guy was a former boyfriend of Monica. The chemistry between the characters are visible and looks very realistic. The last segment goes back a few hours when Monica and his boyfriend were getting ready for the party after making love.

The story is trying to tell us that life changes very drastically within minutes and fate is something that is unpredictable and disturbing. Watch this film for the sheer treatment of the director, this is one film you won't forget in a longtime.
