One of the great things about being a Cineworld Unlimited customer is that I am able to see as many films as I want for £11.99 each month. This includes both new releases, and also re-releases which Cineworld sometimes show. I was really pleased to be able to see GOLDFINGER, BRIEF ENCOUNTER and THE WICKER MAN (the original version with Edward Woodward) on the big screen this summer. However last week I was really impressed to see that Cineworld were showing IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. This is a Christmas perennial but I've never seen it on the big screen so I was really excited about being able to do so. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE is a classic movie directed ... Last night, my husband and I sat down with a nice glass of wine and an Indian takeaway, all set to indulge in watching one of our all time favourite films - 'It's a Wonderful Life!' This is not one of those fast moving, glossy, sleek, Hollywood Blockbusters that constantly fill our screens at the moment. No, this is a black nd white film made in 1946 which moves at a gentle pace but is one of the most uplifting films I have ever watched! And what's more - there's no sex, violence or swearing - just a good old fashioned story about an ordinary man! That ordinary man is George Baily, played superbly well by one of my favourite actors, James Stewart. George lives ... Read the complete review

It's a Wonderful Life is a truly magical Christmas film, a beautiful classic that is really traditional and perfect for all the family. There are no bad words, rude jokes etc like most of today's Christmas films, just pure, and simple with a great message. It's a Wonderful Life is a 1946 American film shot in black and white. It features arguably one of the greatest actors ever, James (Jimmy) Stewart in the lead role of George Bailey. It's Christmas Eve and George Bailey is feeling sorry for himself, worse than that actually, he is contemplating suicide. He has a loving wife and kids but is not really pleased at how his life has turned out. He had ... Read the complete review
