The plot: Sir Robert King who is a British oil tycoon, and a friend of M is assassinated by Renard, an international terrorist. MI-6 had sent agent 009 to kill Renard. Although 009 had shot Renard in the head, he did not die. The bullet since then has slowly made its way towards his cerebral cortex; numbing him of any physical sensation in the process. Although the bullet will eventually kill him, Renard grows more powerful with each passing day, as he is able to exert himself more than any other human. M feels that Elektra King who is King's daughter, and the inheritor of the oil business is under threat. James Bond is sent to protect her. Renard had ... Read the complete review

Glamour is increasing in the Bond productions, with the special effects and gadgetry associated with Bond, the famous Bond girls being portrayed by models or already well known actresses who are also treated as sex symbols, and Bond himself, here played by Pierce Brosnan for the third time. The new wave of the Bond team has by now set itself into a comfortable slot, and has attracted a good following with the style of filming and characterisation. The World Is Not Enough is a great example of all of this, with three/four Bond girls, and some awesome villains, not to mention another world domination plot. The Plot James Bond is sent to find the man ... Read the complete review

Lets get one thing straight. This film is a succesfull blockbuster. It carries its head high and as other reviews will show is widely seen as Brosnan's best outing. Now for the reality of it all. Standards are dropping and so are expectations and this film is proof. The title might claim that the world is not enough but in fact its the plot, feel and substance of the film that is lacking. The world is just fine. Ingrediants are not hard to get hold of and this film has them all. However putting them together and creating something great, requires skill, precision and careful thought. On paper it might have looked superb but the result is somewhat ... Read the complete review
