Advantages: It was meant to be the last one
Disadvantages: But it wasnt
Well hes back again and this is one of the worst ones yet. At the start we see a blonde women walking around a house with no lights on, she strips off and goes in the shower when the power goes off, She goes to put it back on but is attacked by Jason, she runs away into the woods and Jason follows her. Suddendly lots of big spotlights appear on Jason and the swat team bursts out and showers him with bullets and grenades. He ends up exploding with only his heart remaining. His heart is taken to the coroner and starts beating again and for some reason the coroner decides to eat it and then - guess what - he becomes Jason. The movies also features a character called Creighton Duke a professional Bounty hunter who claims to know the secret to defeat Jason one last time, He must be stabbed by a special knife by the last surviving member of the Voorheeves family. He kills lots of people and they try to make this film funny and it just doesnt work, at the end when he is destroyed there is only his mask remaining when Freddy Krugers hand (with the knife glove) comes up and grabs it pulling it below the earth, which is undoubted because the now announced Jason Vs. Freddy film was around back then too. And now we get the next Jason film Jason X inwhich he is found frozen on earth and picked up by a space ship where is his unfrozen to start killing again oh yeah its set in 2010 or sometime then and has David Cronenberg in it. The box in the cellar of the Voorheeves house is also the exact same box in the creepshow episode 'The Crate' This film also had cuts which were:- At the beginning, before Jason gets blown up by the FBI, the female cop shoots Jason in the head. The fighting scene between Steven and Jason is longer. At one point Steven hides inside the climbing rack as Jason tries to grab him. We see Duke being brought in the police station. Duke is brought in, having been found standi
ng over the empty morgue cabinet that had held Diana's body. What was he doing there? "Trying to steal the body, obviously," Duke explains irritably, "but you f**ked up and let someone get to it before I could....if it's where I think it is, you're in a world of s**t." In the morgue we see the coroner get some instruments from a cabinet. More dialogue in the Duke interview. The original ending where Steven kicks the knife in Jason's chest. Besides the giant hands there is also a creature which pulls down Jason into the ground. Jason in the body of Josh kills the boyfriend of one of the waitresses after we see some dialogue between them and she leaves. Jason bangs the guy's head against a sink. After the creature escapes Randy's body we see Duke fighting with it before it falls down the basement. Then there is a different dialogue where Steven asks Duke if the Voorhees which Jason has to be reborn trough must be alive. Another dialogue where Robert Campbell talks on the phone in the Voorhees house while Steven hides in the closet. He says Jessica can never shut up about her family and he runs down the whole Voorhees family tree. For the final edit, the character David and his murder were completely cut from the film. In bootleg prints, the character is dispatched by Deputy Josh who has been possessed by the Jason entity and who bashes David's head against a faucet.
