The film is about the devastating journey home two students take from college. They see someone or something throw a body into a tube that goes into a hole. They decide to go back and check it out - not a good idea!

The film, in hindsight, was actually really rubbish. The fear comes from the tension of not quite knowing what it is or what it is going to do. Along with this the classic dark eeriness of everything and the pathetic fallacy combined with the sound effects give it a 'Creepy' and disturbing vibe.

When you do actually see the 'monster' it is a bit of a let down because it is this bat like creature that bites, rips out and eats someone's tongue. I guess they were going for the whole disgust of a cannibal but I didn't find it very good.

Anyway in terms of it being a good horror film I was actually scared at night of all the shadows for about 2 weeks so it did the job perfectly in that sense. But the story line and actual monster was not that good.

The movie had all the right camera and editing and producing as it fitten well into the genre but it was too much as though someone had read a book about how to direct a film then followed everything to conventions.

So the main reason I do not like it is the fact that there is not enough originality in it and as a whole is a bit boring

Summary: a good horror if you are 13 with nothing to go by
