Advantages: First 30min isnt too bad, The leading lady isn't bad looking..., Look I'm trying to think of good things!

Disadvantages: After 30min the film goes downhill, When you see the monster in all its "glory" you'll just laugh, You'll be whistling that Jeepers Creepers song fo ages...

I hate horror films. The only reason I went to see this was to keep my girlfriend happy! But to be honest, I'm glad that I did, just so that I can warn the rest of you about it!

Firstly, never trust a horror film which you laugh the whole way through. It's not right. It's not big and it's certainly not clever! Secondly, never trust a horror film which your GIRLFRIEND laughs the whole way through! Thats just plain wrong!

So...story anyone? Yes it would've been nice if the promising first 30 min or so had continued the whole way through, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

What started like a good tense horror film, quickly deteriorated into little more than an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I suppose I should tell you some of the story then!? (But do you really care after I've slagged the living daylights out of this film already!?)

Anyway, our story begins with two teenagers, a brother and sister, played by Justin Long and Gina Philips, who are driving home from college. In true horror film tradition, rather than driving the quick way home, they decide to go the long way, where many years ago a few people went missing and were never found. Sounds like a good idea, eh?

After driving for a bit they are almost run off the road by a pyschotic van driver (not a white van i might add) who then speeds away and leaves them in a trail of dust. Further on after the two have calmed down, they come across the same van, parked beside an old church with its doors open and they witness the driver lifting a large, long object wrapped in a rug and proceed to through it into an old pipe.

Rather than drive away really fast, or at least pretend not to have looked, our two bumbling idiots allow the lunatic driver to catch up with them and this time run them off the road properly. It is at this point the most stupid decision that the could ever make is made.

After wrestling wit
h their morals, they decide to head back to see what it was that the figure had thrown down the pipe and it is at the this point that the film goes downhill. Actually, it goes off a cliff.

The only reason I would recommend anyone to see this film is for pure comedy value; just to see how bad a film it actually is. After seeing it I felt quite happy that I had had the courage to go and see it for myself and that surely there would never be anything as bad as it ever again. I was wrong. I hear theyre making a sequel...

...which to be honest, unless it's made 27 year ahead of the last one is a complete contradiction of the whole storyline, which stated that this "monster" came out every 27 years to feed for 27 days. But then if the director thinks he can make a quick buck of a sequel bobs your uncle...all I can say is avoid!

Indeed a bad example. But I would still have checked it out after reading your op if I hadnt already seen it. So make it harsher. Perhaps get a bit angry. Still, your op is better than the film.
